In February we went with two friends to Maplestone Ranch & Retreat. It was a first visit for all of us and it couldn't have been more enjoyable. Even though some of the features were closed during the winter season, we still luxuriated in both hot and dry saunas as well as cold, warm and hot tubs. The indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, with a range of complimentary beverages, were lovely. If you register beforehand, you can also have a supervised interaction with their beautiful horses. Highly recommended.

We had a bachelorette party here and it was PERFECT!!! We couldn't have asked for more! The food was amazing as was the service. The entire place was spotless. The pool with it's slide was so much fun while the hammocks made a great spot for a afternoon snooze! Hot tub and sauna were so relaxing and the guest who were up for it truly enjoyed the cold plunge. Can't wait to do it all again. Thanks Tausha for sharing this piece of paradise with us and being an amazing host.

Maplestone Ranch and Retreat is a hidden gem. I visited this week, and was grateful for a quiet spa, and the opportunity to get some much needed R&R. The snacks and amenities are wonderful. The new hot plunge and spa are great additions. I spent most of my time floating in the salt water pool and sunning myself. Looking forward to my next visit. Thanks Ryan and Tasha 🙏🏻💛✨

Visited last night with a group of 20 others for a private Pilates retreat with Flora Fitness Club and was blown away at just how perfect this little space is. Using the dome for yoga and Pilates was so serene! We are hoping to return for another private retreat in another season so we can experience all the pools that are obviously snow covered in the winter! At first glance, the space looks small especially for our group of 20 but there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and the food served as part of our experience was delicious! Highly recommend checking out this little piece of heaven!

A hidden gem. This is a lovely spa deep in the tranquil forest only 30-40 minutes from Ottawa. We went on a day where the steam from the tubs met the fog in the air so you didn't know where water ended and sky began. Beautiful and luxurious. The amazing couple that run Maplestone are beyond kind and attentive. We had the whole place to ourselves.

Maplestone Ranch and Retreat Spa is an absolute sanctuary! From the moment you arrive, you are struck by the beautiful, peaceful surroundings that make it so easy to disconnect. The facilities are incredibly well-designed and offer a full traditional circuit: with two saunas, two hot tubs, and a refreshing cold plunge, the transition between heat and cold is seamless. Using the cold plunge after the sauna was the highlight for me—it’s the perfect way to reset the body and feel completely rejuvenated. What truly sets this place apart, however, are the amazing owners. Their hospitality is warm and genuine, and they have created a layout that feels private and intentional. It is the perfect blend of rustic ranch charm and high-end spa relaxation. A must-visit gem in Lanark County!

We really enjoyed our visit, the horses are beautiful and we learned a lot about them thanks to Diana. The spa itself is just up the road from the horses and is nicely maintained and very quiet. We loved the salt water hot tub. Tasha was very welcoming and kind, the sweets and coffee were delicious. We will definitely be back!

A great little thermal spa in Lanark County with fantastic service by the owners. I love that you can BYOB, order snacks, and attend events in the geodesic dome. My bestie and I went to a dinner & Spa event for my birthday and the food was excellent and beautifully plated. The decor was lovely too. I highly recommend visiting and getting all the health benefits of a thermal circuit, while enjoying the snacks and thoughtful service!

Maplestone is a relaxing gem of a place to unwind. This was my 2nd time enjoying the property. The owners are lovely and so nice to chat with. This place may be smaller than the larger Quebec spas, but they have curated an experience to provide for all of your needs. The connection to the surrounding nature really makes it feel like an escape. Note: Charcuterie boards need to be ordered 48 hrs in advance but they are well worth it. They are the perfect snack with local products. It's really nice to see this local business shine.

What a pleasurable relaxing visit we had with my hubby. I personally loved the tranquility of the place surrounded by nature. We had a little hike from the parking lot to the reception area which was inside a heated dome. You will be provided with a key to your lockers which you can wear with you so you don’t lose them. They have complimentary refreshments and some snacks you can buy on site. You can order food as well when you book your appointment. We did a 2-hour thermal spa treatment. You have to remind them upon arrival that you ordered food (if you have) so you can enjoy them within your scheduled time. We didn’t do that as it wasn’t mentioned in their website. But they were very accommodating and understanding. We had our food after we did our spa time. We loved the platter that we ordered. It was probably good for 2 persons but we went there with empty stomachs.😆 I brought my own robe (actually a house robe) since I like mine cozy and it doesn’t absorb a lot of water. Although, a towel robe would have been better since you will be in and out of the water. I just find the towel robes freeze if left hanging on the outdoor hooks since the temperature was under 0C. They have robes you can rent for $9 (as of writing). They have towels you can use for free. You have to bring a pair of clean waterproof slippers to use when walking between thermal therapies. They have a regular hot tub (salt water) which can accommodate 5 people (if you’re comfortable sharing). They have a fire wood heated tub as well which was my fave since I can just stand or swim a little bit when nobody else was in it. They have a cold plunge barrel which can accommodate up to 2 people. They have 2 saunas, one was dry, the other isn’t. The dry sauna is inside their change room. The change room is equipped with indoor shower and a washroom. They also have other washrooms outside the change room. They have bags in each change cubicle that you can use for your wet swimsuits. Their shower room h
